When people think of Square Enix they think of one of the best producers of RPG’s in the world with the Final Fantasy series. And with their first offering out of the gate we were getting a remake of one of the most iconic games within that series and that is Final Fantasy VII. This game is going to be available worldwide on 3/3/2020 only on the Playstation 4. Next up was a trailer game called Life is Strange 2 and this adventure game follows a boy with strange powers. Another game in the Final Fantasy series was annoucned and this is Crystal Chronicles Remastered. This game will allow you to explore the world either solo or with friends online and it is set to be released this winter.

Ocotpath Traveler was a game that was released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch however, I don’t own one and have been wanting to play this game. Not to worry! The folks over at Square Enix have now released it on Steam so you can go and play this game right now! A few other games were announced, such as Last Remanent remastered and Dragonquest Builders 2. And speaking of Dragonquest a remastered adventure is going to be released on the Switch! Dragonquest XI Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition. This version will include new stories and side quests to keep you questing into the night. Two more games were shown off and they were Circuit Superstars (a game that reminded me of Micro Machines on the NES) and Batallion 1944: Eastern Front which, is an online FPS in the same vein as Counter Strike.

Kingdom Hearts III has been doing exceptionally well and we are getting DLC for this game coming this winter! Kingdom Hearts Re Mind and this will add Riku, Aqua and Roxas as playable characters in the game. A new expansion for Final Fantasy XIV was announced as well entitled Shadowbringers as the warriors of light can now embrace the dark. Dying Light 2, Oninaki and an expansion to the mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius were also announced. However, there were two more surprises announced at this show.

The first was a game that no one saw coming and that was Outriders. This game is from the creators of Gears of War and Bulletstorm as 1 to 3 players can fight alongside each other in this co-op universe. This futuristic shooter looks awesome as you will fight against these strange creatures and try to survive what this world has in store for you. The last game announced was one gamers were expecting for a long time. Square Enix has teamed up with Crystal Dynamics to give us an Avengers game! Set in the great city of San Francisco this game will have you controlling members of this team and I have to say it looks AMAZING! People have been waiting for this game for years and I have to say that Square Enix will NOT disappoint as this is an original story not based on the movies.

So did you watch the Square Enix conference? What did you think about the games announced? Let us know as we love to hear from you!
