For some of us family is everything and when we are invited for a weekend getaway there’s no other place where we would rather be. However, when some uninvited guests show up and start killing your loved ones you need to make a decision whether to fight or flee. This is the setting of the horror film You’re Next and it recently had gotten a 4k release from Second Sight films but is this one release that you are going to want to revisit or would you rather avoid it like your next family reunion?

The plot revolves around Davidsons which is an affluent family as they are trying to reconnect with everyone with a fun weekend planned at their holiday estate. However, things go wrong when a group of killers wearing animal masks stalk and kill the family. Will anyone make it out alive and who is behind this sinister deed? The film has a wonderful take on the horror tropes and this version is beautifully restored up to 4k giving you even sharper visuals which were approved by the director Adam Wingard. Along with the movie are a lot of special features including a new audio commentary with the director along with the writer Simon Barrett and a separate track with those two alongwith Barbara Crampton and Sharni Vinson. There are also a few featurettes including interviews from director and writer to the cast and crew that worked on the movie. There is also a making of featurette along with animated storyboards and that’s not all. The limited edition has some special features as well including a rigid slipcase that has new art by Nick Chargo, six collector art cards and a 120 page book that has essays written by some of the people that worked on the film.

If you haven’t seen this film or don’t own it in your collection, definitely give this one a look as it has an amazing story, great effects and some exclusive features that cannot be found anywhere else.
