Cineplex Events is back to add some warmth to the winter months with their annual slate of films celebrating fan favourite films of years past. Over the past 9 years The Flashback Film Fest (previously dubbed the Great Digital Film Fest) featured sci-fi, comedy and action cult classics over the span of a week. This year marks a significant change for Cineplex as the success of previous years has caused them to transform the festival into a year-round series screening in 22 theaters across Canada.

Now known as the Flashback Film Series, the celebration of cult film kicked off this January with Smokey and the Bandit and Superman followed by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind that ended it’s run on Valentines Day. It’s not too late to take part in this the fun as Being John Malkovich is currently featured in the series to be followed by Thelma and Louise (March 1-14), Spaceballs (March 15-28) and The Matrix * 20th anniversary (March 29-April 11).

The series will feature two movies per month throughout the year and tickets are only $6.99. For more information on Cineplex’s Flashback Film Series go to www.cineplex.com to learn more about the series, admission, pricing and participating theaters.
