Department H Reactivated!

PM Trudeau on defensive after U.S. rebuffs Canada from NAFTA talks

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has reactivated Department H in a retaliatory move as the United States and Mexico finalize an agreement in principle on what used to be NAFTA.

“We’re not going to be pushed around,” said Trudeau, who was observed by opposition MPs shaking his fists and yelling at the sky before an aide ushered him out of public eye.

Department H was a branch of the Canadian government that sanctioned, supported, and monitored superhuman activity in Canada. It also oversaw the country’s officially endorsed superhuman team, Alpha Flight.

A confidential source within the Prime Minister’s Office stated Department H’s resurrection will coincide with the reactivation of Department K, which was responsible for the Weapon X program.

Peter MacKay, who once served as Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister, stated that this was a real problem.

“I think we need to be very worried, this … represents an enormous degree of uncertainty,” MacKay said.

One individual who apparently isn’t worried is U.S. President Donald Trump, who scoffed at the news on his Twitter account.

“PM Justin Trudeau of Canada thinks he can talk tough,” the President tweeted. “Very dishonest & weak! How bad can Department K be? It’s like halfway down the alphabet!”

Sources within the Ministry of Defence stated that top officials have quietly appointed James Howlett, a.k.a Logan/Wolverine, as the new director of Department H.

When asked about his appointment and the role Department H will play with U.S. relations, Howlett said, “Chump called the tune. Now he pays the piper!”

It was only when Trump’s top aides fully briefed him on the true nature of Department H and Howlett’s service record that his stance changed. “If they’d like to negotiate fairly, we’ll do that,” the President said of Canada Monday.
